Incubator Collage
The IS4IB studio continued to explore intelligent space through the medium of collage. Stepping out of our comfort range and into the medium of Collage allowed us to be immersed in metaphors and abstract thought devoid of programmatic requirements and number crunching.
The posed questions…
If a single cell incubator space were to exist how might the skin mitigate air, light, and temperature between the outside and inside of the space? How would a single cell incubator space build or connect to other cells?

Aesthetics, Performance, Imagery, Possibilities
In the search for a precedence model, Studio 815, Intelligent Skins for Intelligent Buildings,
has asked four open ended questions:
1) What does an intelligent space look like?
2) How have intelligent spaces been designed?
3) How is an intelligent space conceptually organized?
4) How have intelligent spaces been used?
There are many different ideas surrounding these four basic
questions. Here are some of the answers that students presented.
